Globus Connect and Open OnDemand have no interface to pick the local username to use when you log in.
The Active Username is the local username that resources at SDSC such as the ones above will use when logged in to using any of your linked identities.
The Active Username may be changed, however please wait approximately 10-20 minutes for the change to take effect.
Globus Connect with Linked Identities
• When interacting with a collection for the first time, you will be prompted to choose an identity.
• The chosen identity is permanent and cannot be changed.
• To reduce the chance of trouble, please choose the identity corresponding to the Active SDSC Username.
One or more of the follwing may help if you have trouble:
• Log in to Globus and grant consent using the identity associated with your Active SDSC Username.
• Contact User Support (consult@sdsc.edu) to change the Globus Identity associated with your SDSC Username.
• In Globus, unlink the identity associated with your Active SDSC Username and log in to Globus with that identity directly instead of with a linked identity.
